First impressions - Blogging/RSS feed.

My first impressions when I read about blogging was the realisation that I had never really done up a proper blog before. However it did sound really interesting as everyone else was also to do a blog so that meant that you could visit other peoples blogs and listen to their opinions or maybe what hobbies they may have. All blogs will be linked together using an RSS feed so it will make it easier to find other peoples blogs.

Bookmarking.    Bookmarking was also suggested that we use which I think is a great idea. Bookmarks are used to save web pages on a browser so you can easily access them again, so say you find a collection of images on a website that you liked. You can easily save the page as a bookmark for easy access in the future.

Image Editing - It was suggested that we learn how to use basic image editing software for stuff such as resizing and cropping. Thankfully in year 1 of the cdm course we have already done some simple editing using Photoshop so that should help.

Graphics Creation - For this we will learn the skills required to make our own graphics using simple web-based programs like Canvas, Spark, Cheezburger & Automotivator etc.

Unity 3D - We will also be using the Unity 3D engine which sounds really interesting. It is also recommended to install a number of modules along side it such as Visual Studio/Visual Studio Mac. Personally this sounds really cool and I can't wait to start messing around with it and seeing what I create.
